How to use social media effectively

We are happy to announce that we are repeating the event held in Glasgow in May due to demand.  This time, we will be giving charities in Edinburgh the chance to learn about Social Media.

Where: Hotel Missoni. Edinburgh

When: Thursday 30th June 2011 from 5-7pm

Social Media is increasingly popular but can also be very daunting.  Come along to our free event to learn how other non-profit organisations use social media, how it can increase your donations and how to avoid a crisis.

Guest speakers:

  • Colin Gilchrist , Web & Social Media Strategy Director at Digital Face
  • Julie Moulsdale, Managing Director of Perceptive Partners Communications

Colin has been working on digital marketing and social media for several years. He is social media blogger for The Drum marketing magazine and was instrumental in the development of the new website for Poppy Scotland with some excellent results. Colin will share some valuable insights into how other charities could benefit from social media.

Julie has worked with numerous private sector and non-profit organisations to help protect their reputation in the face of potential or actual crises. Julie will share some key tips on how a charity can protect its reputation in advance of or during a crisis using traditional and social media.

Feedback from Forum 2:

The Best Practice Forums

The forums were set up for non-profit organisations to share ideas and best practice amongst each other and learn from private sector by hearing their experiences and case studies.
