Choosing the right security software for mobile phones and other gadgets can be a tough process for data management experts.
Mobile devices pose unique data risks, so being shrewd when it comes to protecting them is a must.
Kevin Wharram, an independent IT security consultant, has had his say on the matter, noting there is a definite difference in quality between different brands.
He suggested those who start off with Apple products are immediately ahead of the game, as the company checks all of its applications for malware before they are made available to users.
"From a security point of view, if you want more security - go for Apple, because of the way they hold everything in a closed environment and it's more protected," Mr Wharram stated.
Tony Neate, managing director of Get Safe Online, recently said that ensuring all of a firm's mobiles are only accessible once a password is entered is a wise step.
