Lose Data and You Go to Jail
Rather sobering news for all of us in the data industry. Individuals who negligently disclose personal data could be jailed for up to 2 years. Lord Erroll recently said of his vote to amend section 55 of the Data Protection Act "Data processors need to wake up." (Computing News)
The backlash from the lost CD's by HM Revenue & Collections last year has only just started. And you will note that the individual will be made culpable, not just the organisation. Sending data out to third party bureaux is going to be seen as very risky. However, you still need access to the expertise that bureau offer.
Fortunately, DD clients can sleep safely. Our Enhance and View solutions ensure that your data never needs to leave your organisation. We have put everything "in the box" for your customer data possessing needs. It can all sit on site so it always stays within your control. So negligence is avoided.
